Splashtop Agentic Packr automates third-party application packaging for Microsoft Intune. It fetches the latest installer using WinGet, Microsoft’s package repository, then, determines install and uninstall parameters, builds and tests each package, and scans installers for threats before administrators publish packages to Intune.

Splashtop Agentic Packr uses AI to analyze each installer and determine its install parameters and detection rules, so IT teams can package third-party, custom, and internally developed applications without specialized packaging expertise. When a package fails testing, the AI adjusts and retries, and a rule-based packaging engine takes over if the AI cannot produce a working package. On Professional plans and above, Agentic Packr adds governance controls including role-based access, approval workflows, and audit trails.

If a test fails, the AI adjusts and retries, and a rule-based engine acts as a fallback if the AI cannot produce a working package. Packages that fail testing never reach Intune.

Administrators choose which apps publish to their Intune tenant and how they are assigned. Splashtop Agentic Packr then uploads each package as a Win32 app and creates the Intune assignments and Microsoft Entra groups, so admins don’t have to do that setup by hand. 

Splashtop Agentic Packr keeps security decisions out of the AI's hands, evaluating every package through rule-based, deterministic controls that run separately from the agentic workflow. Installers and installation footprints are scanned against commercial threat intelligence, and packaging fails if a threat is detected. 

User experience templates let IT decide in advance how employees are asked to install updates, with branded prompts they recognize as coming from their own IT team and options to defer so they can finish their work. Deployment templates capture an organization’s Intune deployment settings once, so every package arrives configured without manual setup.
