We're happy to announce that Splashtop OS MeeGo Edition (beta) launched today as a free download! Experience a streamlined version of the MeeGo Netbook Profile with a secure Linux-based platform running Chromium. Like our original Splashtop OS, Splashtop OS MeeGo Edition gives you nearly instant access to the Internet — and of course all of your emails, photos, games, etc. — without having to wait for your traditional OS to boot up.

Following our success with iPad and iPhone versions of Splashtop Remote Desktop, our Android version is making quite a splash too!  The past few weeks it has been one of the top new paid Android apps on the Anroid Market.

Phew, now that was one BUSY show! With various session presenters recommending Splashtop Whiteboard to their students (thanks presenters!) together with the great folks at ISTE profiling us, folks were beating a path to our booth as soon as the expo opened, and we were soon swimming in a sea of people (as well as running out of brochures - Kinko's anyone?).

We launched our Splashtop Remote Desktop HD app for Android Honeycomb tablets last Thursday.  To our surprise, in less than a week, we're #1 on the Top New Paid Apps ranking in the Android Market.  A big thanks to all of you that purchased the app!

iPad users: We just released an update to our Splashtop Remote Desktop (v1.4.5.3). Now, if you’re using Internet discovery to connect remotely to a PC, you’ll notice improved audio performance and enhanced connectivity. Just make sure you are also using the latest Splashtop Streamer v1.4.5.3. For iPad 2 users, you’ll get to enjoy the additional benefit of smoother video performance (up to 30 fps)!
