Any time I see an article or announcement regarding a Web OS or fast starting OS, I think of Splashtop. And while many folks "...want to get to their email instantly, without wasting time waiting for their computers to boot and browsers to start up...", too many of them are stuck in a Microsoft rut in terms of not only the OS, but also productivity and PIM apps. I'm hoping that the name recognition that Google has will help bolster projects like Splashtop, Mobilin, etc.
